Robert Kuchinski

Robert A. Kuchinski joined Zurich in February, 2017 as Head of Global Property, Energy & Construction. In June, 2019, Mr. Kuchinski assumed the role of Head of Commercial Insurance, UK, while also retaining responsibility for Energy globally. 

Mr. Kuchinski has been a leader in the property insurance business for thirty three years with the majority of his career spent in the Property and Energy sectors. His expertise spans engineering, underwriting and distribution. Before running the Global Markets Property division for a mid-sized Global company in 2016, Mr. Kuchinksi held numerous positions at the Global Property and Energy division of a major global insurer from April 2000. Roles included Head of Global Property, EMEA Region; Global Energy Industry Practice Leader, as well as Head of Energy & Engineered Risk, Global Property, where he was responsible for the management and leadership of the Energy and Construction Property businesses worldwide. Mr. Kuchinski was an executive with Hartford Steam Boiler for over 10 years. He entered the insurance business as a Loss Prevention Engineer with Factory Mutual in 1986. 

External appointments

Mr. Kuchinski sits on the Industry Board of Advisers for the Dean of the Rutgers University School of Engineering, and is a Board Member of the International Underwriting Association in London.

Mr. Kuchinski holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University, U.S.
