History

The Onshore Energy Conference is the leading non aligned conference in the Power, Oil and Gas sectors of the insurance industry.

Currently conferences take place in London and Dubai and aim to educate, strengthen and motivate delegates from all parts of the insurance chain, including the buyers of insurance products.

The agenda will appeal to all disciplines with a specific mission to provide targeted educational opportunities for delegates new to these sectors. The programme is supported by visits to relevant facilities and separate lecture programmes.

The London Power Forum was created in 2006 in London by a group of claims professionals who became aware of a need to educate that market and help improve the insurance product offered. That event quickly grew and started to attract delegates from all the disciplines.

After some years, it became obvious that the base of the conference would benefit from being widened to include the Oil and Gas sector, which shares many of the same features as Power. The Onshore Energy Conference was started in 2015. The change breathed fresh life into the Conference and the 2 events now attract over 500 delegates and the agenda is aimed at all aspects of the sectors.

The Conference has no alignment with any specific company and aims to present targeted material that will support and educate and be mindful of the characteristics of the individual region. Groups of leading professionals are consulted in the planning process and while sponsors are invited to support the event, they have no control over the programme.

The conferences continue to grow in relevance and reach and we look forward to welcoming new delegates to all the events.
