London Energy Waste Management Site

Thursday 7th February 2019

“Our mission is to divert household waste and recycling away from landfill efficiently and responsibly by producing energy from waste. Our flagship site is situated at the Edmonton EcoPark on a forty-acre site. It includes a Waste to Energy, Waste Transfer Centre and a Bulk Recycling Centre.”

London Energy Waste Management site situated in North London provides 85% of it’s electricity generated to the National Grid. The other 15% is used to run all the centres on it’s EcoPark.

Dungeness B Power Station

Dungeness B is a nuclear power station and sits just on the Kent coast. Dungeness B was the first commercial scale AGR power station to be constructed.

This visit includes a 2 course lunch, tour of the power station and a presentation from the staff of Dungeness B about the day to day running of the site and its future.

Rampion Wind Farm Tour - Brighton

Thursday 13th & Thursday 20th June 2019

Rampion Wind Farm is located 8 miles off the Sussex coast, it has a total of 116 turbines, run by a network of cables from the onshore site and one offshore substation.

The tour will be conducted and run by , Paul captain of the boat Brighton Diver and his team. During the tour you will get to see the size of the wind turbines up close and also gain knowledge on how the wind farm operates.

Grangemouth Refinery

Wednesday 10th & Thursday 11th July 2019

Grangemouth is Scotland’s only crude oil refinery and produces the bulk of fuels used in Scotland. Some products that come from this site include, cabling and insulation, food packaging and bottles. Grangemouth has been operating since the 1800’s.

This visit includes a tour of Grangemouth Refinery, 2 course meal, an overnight stay (inc breakfast) with a presentation head by industry experts. Full details TBC.

Sizewell B Power Station

Thursday 10th October 2019

Sizewell B is a nuclear generating power station and sits just on the Suffolk coast, plans for the new constructions of Sizewell C are currently in place to sit alongside this site.

This visit includes a buffet lunch, tour of the power station and presentations from the staff of the current Sizewell B site and the staff currently leading the Sizewell C project. Both allowing Q&A’s. The presentations will cover how Sizewell B is currently operating an how the plans and construction of site C are in place to help the power station grow. Tours & Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy


Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations (2000), if you change your mind about attending this event you have the option to notify OECEvents Ltd of your intention to cancel your booking within 7 days of purchase, in exchange for a full refund, with no penalty.

Any refunds provided under this policy will be issued to the credit card(s) used for the purchase and will be processed within 10 business days of confirmation by OEC Events Ltd . At the time your refund is granted, we will invalidate your booking.

Cancellations submitted after 30 days prior will not be refunded. We can accept delegate substitutions up to 48 hours before an event.

Payments must be received in full prior to the event or will not be granted.

If the event has to be cancelled due to force majeure no refund will be granted.
